How must new buildings be designed for each climate change scenario? Which are the best passive design strategies? Which are the best energy systems? Which are the most promising construction technologies?
These are some of the research questions to which this project will look for answers. To do so, several new and radical developments will be carried out using the latest developments in artificial intelligence to generate virtual buildings in different contexts under future climate scenarios, a new model to predict building energy performance, a new statistical model, and a new weather morphing tool.
A set of guidelines will be drawn for design practitioners to use in creating high-performance buildings.
The CLING Project will begin on Jan 1st, 2022, and conclude on Dec 31st, 2024.
